A new study highlights that improving the Theory of Mind (ToM) in Large Language Models (LLMs) does not necessarily enhance their performance in dynamic human-AI interactions, despite advancements in static benchmarks. This suggests a need for interaction-based evaluations to better develop socially aware AI systems.
