OpenZeppelin has responded to concerns raised by its former CTO, Manuel Aráoz, who claimed that AI coding agents have rendered decentralized finance (DeFi) unsafe. While acknowledging the risks, OpenZeppelin believes the threats are manageable and does not agree with the assertion that DeFi is impossible to defend.
