The article proposes a new architecture called the Glassbox Framework, which uses Bayesian networks to enhance the transparency and accountability of AI systems in high-stakes environments. This approach shifts the focus from post-hoc explanations to ante-hoc probabilistic mediation, addressing critical challenges for scalable implementation.
